Stepping Out

"It's about empowerment: enabling disabled people to access their right to exercise and participate in community activities, by providing them with the capacity, means, motivation and confidence to contribute to their own health and that of their careers, family and community."

Stepping Out is an innovative and unique programme with a proven successful track record in South Yorkshire. Dedicated to breaking down the barriers that stop disabled people participating fully in their community, this unique service meets all of a persons needs by tackling transport, access, equipment and personal care issues through a single point of contact working for the individual across the many care, social and leisure services in the area.

Stepping Out's individual approach promotes happy, healthy and fulfilling lifestyles for disabled people that truly reflects the vision of Sue Ryder Care - 'Care that liberates lives'.
